Emergency Response /GSI Alert

Guard-Systems, Inc. has a unique program to supply additional security officers to its customers during periods of emergency activities such as riots, earthquakes, labor disturbances, etc. The programs is called GSI alert. Simply stated, GSI moves its officers into three alert phases:
PHASE I: All security officers normally operate in phase one. During this period GSI maintains normal operations and has the ability to contact all its officers by computerized call-up system.
PHASE II: All GSI officers are placed on alert notification and prepared for 12-hour shifts and given special training for designated emergency(i.e. riot training). GSI activities one of its command centers and begins staffing the center 24 hours per day for up-to-the-minute response and monitoring of the emergency. During this phase, all vacation time, days off requests, and other absences are cancelled for GSI management and security personal.
PHASE III: All GIS personal go 12-hour shifts, this allows us to free up half of its guard force for assignment to the emergency situation. An example of this plan was executed during the 1992 Los Angeles civil unrest when approximately 500 security officers became available to cover customer-affected areas. As usual, the GSI Management team is available 24-hours a day during these emergency events.
In closing, no security company can hire, train, qualify and licenses 500 security officers during an actual emergency, GSI included. But, by utilizing the “GSI Alert” plan; we can cover large emergencies in any geographic location.
